The Finance Committee establishes the annual Branch Budget, and monitors ongoing operating expenses to ensure the financial solvency of the Branch.
An annual forum for political and civic community leaders to demonstrate their continuing support of the NAACP.
This group focuses on HIV/AIDS, as well as other diseases, and its devastating effects in communities of color.

eliminate discrimination in housing.
Our goal is to eliminate discriminatory employment practices in industry and government, wage differentials based on race, unequal opportunities for training and promotion, and unfair dismissals.

This annual event includes voter registration
and other community events.

The verbiage that should be next to it in the description should be: This committee seeks to advance the NAACP's mission through interaction with its members, the news media and the general public. The Committee represents and promotes the NAACP through press releases and public service announcements for the and local media. The Department of Communications is also responsible for editing and publishing content for the Fairfax NAACP web page, quarterly newsletter, and monthly e-newsletter. In today's fast paced communications world, good communications is key to the success of the Association!
Our goal is to eliminate unfair treatment of African Americans in all aspects of law enforcement and the justice system.
As the fighting arm of numerous churches, we have the participation of many church members.
We focus on enhancing the leadership roles of women to serve as advocates for issues affecting women and children.
Future leaders are developed today and such development is ongoing in the Youth Council.
Today there are over 30,000 young people actively
involved in the fight for civil rights. Youth council meetings are the third Sunday of each month. Click here to send an email to the committee chair.
